HPMKT Spring 2025 | A Transatlantic Celebration of Craftsmanship and Legacy

Collage of stylish home interior items including modern lighting, armchairs, decorative tables, and abstract artworks, showcasing furniture design at HPMKT Spring 25.

High Point Spring Market 2025 was nothing short of inspiring. At Valley & Laurel, we were proud to represent the timeless artistry of our American partners — Baker | McGuire, PALECEK, and Kindel | Karges — whose newest introductions reflected an extraordinary balance of heritage, innovation, and quiet luxury.

Baker | McGuire

Modern living room with white couch and dark cushions, abstract wall art, side table, vases with plants, and mixed metal and fabric furniture.
Modern metal and glass coffee table with books and a bowl, set on a light wood floor, in front of a white sofa with decorative cushions.

This season marked the debut of Susan Ferrier’s collection for Baker, and it did not disappoint. Bold yet grounded, the line is defined by its architectural strength, moody palette, and romantic restraint. Each piece feels like a layered story of form and material — unapologetically elegant and rich with emotion. From deeply fluted casegoods to dramatically scaled upholstery, Ferrier’s Baker speaks to rooms that are curated, not just styled.

McGuire, as always, maintained its reputation for artisan-made quality with a West Coast spirit. Their tactile approach to woven materials and silhouettes imbued the collection with coastal elegance that translated beautifully for both city and country interiors.

Elegant dining room with round wooden table, two upholstered chairs, a cabinet with decorative vase of branches, and abstract artwork behind white curtains.

PALECEK

A stylish round dining table with a textured, stone-like base and a smooth top. It's decorated with a stack of books, a wooden vase, and a branch with green leaves, set in a modern living space.
Two modern armchairs with wooden frames and white cushions in a bright room with large windows and a view of greenery.

PALECEK continues to lead in natural luxury. This season brought forward an extraordinary use of organic textures: raffia-wrapped frames, hand-woven pendants, and a mix of washed wood finishes that exude softness. The shapes felt generous yet restrained, with an emphasis on quiet comfort. Standout introductions included oversized lounge chairs and tiered statement lighting—ideal for layered residential and hospitality settings.

Contemporary living room with two armchairs, woven rug, side table, and large windows.

Kindel Karges

Elegant dining room with dark wood furniture, blue cushioned chairs, a large mirror, decorative lamps, a floral arrangement, and a patterned rug.
A classic room interior featuring a wooden chest of drawers with a vase and a small green plant on top, a framed painting of a woman on the wall above, and an ornate chair with gold accents and patterned fabric next to the chest.
Elegant blue dresser with gold trim and ornate knobs, topped with two gold lamps and a decorative round mirror reflecting part of the room.
Interior design featuring a green cabinet with gold handles, three yellow vases, a large decorative jar, and a small photo frame on top, set against a backdrop with plants and patterned furniture.

Kindel Karges reminded us of the enduring beauty of American craft. Their pieces blended hand-carved detail with tailored silhouettes, offering timeless classics that feel newly relevant. Of note were their updated finishes and pared-back traditional forms—pieces that could live in both a London townhouse and a Napa retreat. The collection underscores their heritage and their continued evolution toward transitional elegance.
